Dr. Patrick Unemori is a board-certified dermatologist with a distinguished career dedicated to advancing dermatologic care through innovation, equity, and accessibility.
A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, he completed medical school, dermatology residency, and a fellowship in HIV dermatology at UCSF.
His research on immunosenescence, Kaposi sarcoma, and HIV-related skin conditions has been published in leading medical journals and presented at international conferences.
Dr. Unemori previously served as Chief of Dermatology at Highland Hospital and at Alameda County’s Eastmont, Hayward, and Tri-City Health Center clinics. Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped pioneer early teledermatology systems to serve under-resourced communities.
His clinical journey also includes time at Kwan Dermatology, Kaiser Permanente Oakland, and Palo Alto Medical Foundation experiences that shaped his vision to launch Unemori & Associates, Dermatology, a practice rooted in excellence, compassion, and purpose.
